Steelers vs Chargers : The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Los Angels Chargers at Heinz Field for a Week 13 “Sunday Night Football” matchup that will have huge implications in the AFC playoff picture.
The Steelers are the No. 4 seed in the AFC after their loss to the Denver Broncos last week. They bring a 7-3-1 record into Week 13, which puts them one victory behind the New England Patriots and Houston Texans, who both are 8-3 and lead their divisions.
The Chargers are 8-3 and trail the Kansas City Chiefs by one game in the AFC West race. Los Angeles cannot secure a first-round playoff bye if it does not win the division. This game means more to the Chargers as a result. Pittsburgh still will be the favorite to win the AFC North even with a loss Sunday night to Los Angeles.

After last week, it is hard to know which Pittsburgh Steelers team is going to step on the field Sunday night to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Is it the team who dismantled the Carolina Panthers or the one who lost to the Denver Broncos? If you know the answer to the question you can probably predict this one with certainty.
For us, it isn’t about which team has the most talent. On paper, these two teams are very similar. Stars all over the field on both sides. Records are almost identical and both teams are playing for their playoff lives.
So what is the single biggest factor in this one? History. Pittsburgh rarely loses in December and even less at home in the month. They are looking for some redemption after last week’s loss and Pittsburgh will kick off the month they dominate with a big win over the Chargers. Steelers-24, Chargers-21
